Our buddy Doug built a temporary auto pilot bracket out of wood for the delivery. I
screwed it to a piece of plywood and clamped the whole contraption to the combing.

With no wind and an adverse current we were crawling at 1.6 knots.

With the auto pilot steering the boat there was not much to do but recover from
yesterday's roller coaster ride down the coast. The wind was gusting up to 40 knots and
the waves were six to eight feet. Sailing downwind made for a very bouncy ride. Wes
hit a top speed of 11 knots surfing down a swell.

As the wind filled in during the afternoon Wes was able to enjoy one last sail aboard FireFly
on the Chesapeake Bay.
